JINCHANG, China, June 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, the Gansu Caojiagou 110kV transformer substation project officially started construction. As a key project of State Grid Corporation of China to serve rural revitalization and strengthen the regional power grid structure, this project will completely solve the historical problem of single-power-supply operation of agricultural power grid substations around Jinchang City's Jinchuan District, providing reliable power support for the development of modern agriculture and rural livelihood improvement in Jinchang.
For a long time, some agricultural power grid substations in Jinchang City have been restricted by single-power-supply. In case of line failures or maintenance, regional power outages are prone to occur, affecting agricultural irrigation, agricultural product processing, and residents' daily lives. The Caojiagou transformer substation project has a total investment of approximately 56 million yuan, including the construction of 1 new 110kV substation and 14.7 kilometers of transmission lines. It will achieve interconnection with the surrounding Hongshagang Substation and Xinhua Substation through π connection. After the project is put into operation, the regional power supply reliability rate will be increased to 99.9%, reducing annual power outage time by more than 50 hours, benefiting 2 towns, more than 20 administrative villages, and multiple agricultural cooperatives.
State Grid Gansu Jinchang Power Supply Company adheres to the concept of "green construction and intelligent operation and maintenance", adopting advanced equipment such as outdoor HGIS and intelligent inspection robots, and simultaneously deploying new energy consumption interfaces to reserve space for the subsequent access of clean energy such as photovoltaic and wind power. During construction, technologies such as UAV surveying and 3D digital design will be used to strictly control ecological red lines, minimize the impact on gobi vegetation, and achieve the coordinated development of power grid construction and ecological protection.
